Urban Industrial bookcase with access ladder

Brooklyn Handmade Reclaimed Scaffolding Boards and Dark Steel Pipe Bookcase with Fully Adjustable Shelves and Ladder – Its salvaged vintage industrial design works perfectly in a sophisticated, casual living space.

This shelving system can be made to measure to your own specifications. The shelves pictured here are 900mm wide, 2670mm tall and 300mm deep… but the sky’s the limit…

The scaffolding boards pictured in this example were simply brushed down so they retained a gritty raw look and then finished with a chestnut stain, but anything you choose to use can be distressed/stained/painted/polished up etc to create any required finish.

The ladder can slide along the top rail and can also be removed… we made this unit for a client in Brooklyn (hence the name!) who also commissioned these other two units…

And as they were all the same height the ladder could be used for all three units !

Everything we do is made to order and because we design and make everything ourselves we can easily accommodate any design requirements you might have… just contact us for a chat… pretty much all of our listings are a result of other clients’ requests so prices are indicative of a bespoke product – the price won’t dramatically increase because you want to add a few centimetres here or take a few centimetres away there – we’re not importing and selling hundreds of products of a particular size… we make everything ourselves from raw materials in my our workshop here in Manchester…

… we just love what we do and love to provide a great bespoke service… why buy off the shelf when there’s just no need to… we can create something totally unique for you !

All systems will come with detailed installation and build instructions… they are amazingly easy to put together and install… you just need a regular DIYer drill and suitable fixings for the wall they are to be mounted on… or neither of these if you choose a freestanding option… it’s just a case of screwing components together in the right order.
